2007 Beach Party hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Day use parking area could/probably fill up before the official start of the party.

Will try to get a fire pit for the evening, for warmth, and to cook S'mores, etc.
May get cold at night, bring warm clothes and jacket!

Directions to San Clemente State Beach

From Irvine or Disneyland area, take the 5 Freeway South (towards San Diego). Pass the cities of Laguna Hills and San Juan Capistrano. Stay on the 5 Freeway South through most of San Clemente. Exit Avenida Califia... and stay on Avenida Califia towards the ocean, until you see the entrance of the State Beach. Turn Left at the entrance of San Clemente State Beach, until you reach the Ranger Station.

Hampton Inn and Suites - 3 blocks.

Travelodge on El Camino Real - 3 blocks.

Comfort Suites San Clemente - about 9 blocks, but I found this hotel to be somewhat lower in price for up to 5 people in a room, as of Jan. 07.
